Good Design Award Philippines is a national, biennial design excellence recognitions system that seeks to discover outstanding design works made and systems executed in the Philippines that address social problems to enrich the quality of human life.
Good Design Award Philippines aims to promote design as a key tool in developing and providing solutions to social challenges as well as strengthen the country’s global competitiveness and increase its innovative quotient. The recognition is awarded by the Department of Trade and Industry, through the Design Center of the Philippines.
Recognize outstanding works in the design disciplines of object-making, image-making, place-making, and systems/service in the Philippines’ design ecosystem.
Build a community of global Philippine designers and establish a Philippine Design Economy that is at par with regional and international design powerhouses.
Expand economic opportunities by driving the competitiveness and innovativeness of Philippine objects, places, images, and systems/service.
Nurture a Philippine country image in the area of design defined by the principles of good design and malasakit enabling the country to have a unique voice in the global design and innovation discourse.
Good Design Award Philippines is open to Philippine-registered enterprises, designers, and creatives from both private and public sectors with fully realized and/or executed designs of objects, places, images or systems.
Entries must not be more than five years since date of launch, or have been in the market by or after September 2014.
Service/System Design is about developing service innovations suitable for real-life application by designing entire service processes in a customer-centric way. UX includes all aspects of user experience interacting with products and services, the environment or facilities.

Entries are deemed valid if the following are included in the submission:
• Accomplished Entry Form
• Proof of Identification
• Proof of Business Registration
• Entry Requirements (Main Image, Video, Optional Image, Design Brief/Brochure – if available, etc.)
Note: One entry form for each entry submitted. Each entrant is only allowed to submit a maximum of five (5) entries.

19 June – 15 August 2019: Open for Entry Submission
15 August 2019: Last Day for Entry Submission.
Entries received after 23:59 (Philippine Standard Time, UTC +8) via online and email submissions will no longer be accepted. For manual submissions, entries will only be accepted at the Design Center lobby until 18:00.
Entry Validation will be conducted as entries are received. Incomplete submission automatically disqualifies the entry. Notice will be given to the applicant upon entry validation on pass/fail basis.
August/September 2019: Initial Screening (Jury Session)
16 – 19 September 2019: Final Screening
20 September 2019: Awards Ceremony
17 – 19 October 2019: Exhibition at Manila FAME
